Microsoft Digital Literacy 2019


The African Development Bank and technology firm Microsoft today launched the โ€˜Coding for Employmentโ€™ digital training platform, an online tool to provide digital skills to African youth, wherever they are across the continent. The goal is to scale up the program to 130 centers of excellence across the continent over a 10-year period. It will create nine million jobs by building synergies with the public and the private sector globally to deliver demand-driven, agile and collaborative skills to empower young people to become innovative players in the digital economy.

UPDATE ON WITHDRAWN 2019/2020 Supplementary Admissions List

The University of Nigeria wishes to inform all her prospective candidates and the general public that the above admission list as published in the website is being temporarily put off to enable all recommended Candidates to be proposed and recommended in JAMB CAPS. The list would be restored as soon we are through with proposing and recommending in JAMB CAPS. The inconveniences is highly regretted. 
PROCESS FLOW FOR ACCEPTANCE OF ADMISSION
  1. Visit the UNN portal- unnportal.unn.edu.ng
  2. Click on undergraduate students.
  3. Select create account.
  4. Enter JAMB Registration Number and RRR used for screening application (RRR can be gotten from the email address used during screening application).
  5. Copy out your login details to the portal.
  6. Go back to login page.
  7. Enter your login details.
  8. Change password.
  9. Complete your student profile.
  • Go to acceptance.
  • Generate acceptance fee receipt.
  • Make payment at the bank or using the online channel.

Resumption of 2019/2020 Academic Session

SUBJECT:  RESUMPTION OF 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all stakeholders of the University of Nigeria of the resumption of 2019/2020 academic session as contained in the Timetable of Events already released to the University Community.
The University reopened for 2019/2020 academic session on Monday, December 2, 2019 for registration of freshmen and resumption of first semester academic activities, while continuing students are expected to return to Campus on Monday, December 9, 2019. Consequently, portal has already been opened for payment of school fees by all undergraduate students of the University including freshmen and continuing students.
Students are also reminded that hostel accommodation is strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis and portal will also be opened for allocation of accommodation on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 for only newly admitted students. Portal for allocation of accommodation for continuing students will be opened on Monday, December 9, 2019.
The process flow for return to Campus and registration activities is as attached.

  1. Check your admission on the UNN website- www.unn.edu.ng
  2. Verify your account on the UNN Portal (use your Jamb Registration number and PUTME RRR)- www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng
  3. Complete your online profile.
  • Login to the portal with Registration number as username and password.
  • Click on profile.
  • Complete profile.
  1. Print acceptance fee invoice.
  • Click on acceptance.
  • Generate invoice.
  • Print invoice
  1. Pay acceptance fees (Make payments at the bank or make payments online using your debit cards).
5b. For bank payments, return to the portal to complete payment.

2019/2020 HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION

This is to inform all the students of University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Enugu Campus that Portal for 2019/2020 hostel accommodation will be opened on Wednesday, 4th December, 2019 by 12am for all the years.
The hostel fees for Okeke Hostel (fully renovated) is twenty-five thousand naira only (N25,000) while other hostels remain the same as was in the previous sessions, that is twelve thousand naira only (N12,000.00) for male hostels and fifteen thousand naira only (N15,000) for female hostels.
Furthermore, as part of signing in requirements into the allocated halls of residence, every student must provide two (2) sets of bed sheets and pillow covers and one (1) mackintosh of good quality.
Finally, at each point in time, correct information regarding hostel matters is accessible from Studentsโ€™ Affairs Department.
Once again, we welcome all our new and returning students to the lionโ€™s den. Your overall welfare remains our concern.

JIM OVIA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 2019/2020

About the Jim Ovia Scholars Program

The Jim Ovia Scholars Program was founded since 1998. It is fully funded by Mr. Jim Ovia to provide financial aid to outstanding Nigeria youths. The scholarship was previously known as the MUSTE scholarship. Eligible awardees are supported for their undergraduate and graduate study for the duration of their program and includes tuition and maintenance allowances. The scheme offers an average of 100 opportunities each year for new applicants while renewing applicants are supported annually, conditional on meeting all eligible requirements of the scholarship. Since October 2010, Mr. Ovia has invested over 100 Million Naira in the program to support 1500 beneficiaries and counting.

Eligibility and Criteria

The scholarship is open to all potential students of Nigerian citizenship. One hundred (100) awardees are selected each year from a pool of eligible applicants. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of personal intellectual ability, leadership capability and a desire to contribute to society at large to improve the lives of others.

2019 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) and its co-venture partners hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2019 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians. It provides yearly grant to the successful applicants from their second year to the completion of their degree programme  

The merit-based scholarship is open to FULL TIME undergraduates studying any of the under listed courses in Universities within Nigeria.
